About the tour

Free Venice City Tour is organized by a cultural association named Marco Polo and our aim is to promote Venice. Surely you have already heard about this fascinating and romantic city, absorbed in an everlasting historical context with its typical and unique traditions and a rich cuisine.

The city of love, the city of arts, the land of many historically famous personalities such as Giacomo Casanova, Vivaldi, Carlo Goldoni, Tintoretto and Marco Polo itself.

Did you know that the first Jewish ghetto in the world was founded in Venice and the first woman having graduated was Venetian? During our walking tour you will get introduced to the ancient period of the Serene Republic of Venice, across its narrow alleys, having the unique surprise of discovering the Carnival with the mysterious charm of its masks.

We would like to show you the city from a different point of view wishing that after our walking tour you will appreciate Venice, leaving aside the typical touristic attractions but instead you will experience the city as locals do.

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!
