Tour description
Join me for a journey through the heart of Nice’s Old Town, where every corner has a story and every street reveals something new. Over the course of 2 to 2.5 hours, we'll explore the city's most iconic spots — from Massena Square and the Opera House to Cours Saleya Market, Rossetti Square, and the panoramic views from Castle Hill. Along the way, I’ll share local legends, cultural insights, and hidden gems that bring Nice to life. We meet at the Apollo statue in Massena Square at 10:55 AM — just look for the red umbrella. This is a tip-based tour, so you’re free to contribute what you feel it was worth. Let’s discover the real Nice together.
Highlights
What will we see on this tour?
Meeting point:
3 Pl. Massena, 06300 Nice, France
We will meet in front of Apollo statue with a red umbrella.
1
Outside visit
Place Massena
Place Masséna is Nice’s main square and a vibrant hub of city life, known for its checkered ground, red ochre buildings, and modern sculptures by Jaume Plensa. It connects the Old Town with the newer parts of the city and hosts events, street performers, and markets throughout the year.
2
Outside visit
Esplanade Georges Pompidou
This open space near the sea offers relaxing views and a pleasant area to walk or rest. Often less crowded, it’s a calm transition point between the bustling Old Town and the coast, close to museums and cultural venues.
3
Outside visit
Opéra de Nice
The Opéra de Nice is an elegant 19th-century building that serves as the city’s main opera house. Though often admired from the outside, its ornate façade and location near Cours Saleya make it a beautiful stop during a city walk.
