On this free tour through the Historic Center of Rio, you will learn about the history of the Colony, Empire, and Republic of Brazil, and the secrets of the former capital of the Brazilian Empire. We will walk through places that marked the country's history, among baroque churches, colonial palaces, historic cafes, and corners full of art and tradition. 

We begin at the Paço Imperial, where decisions that changed Brazil were made.
 We will see the Old National Congress, Chafariz da Pirâmide, the Arcos dos Teles, and you will learn about the history of the last ball of the Empire on Fiscal Island.
 We will be dazzled by the churches Irmandade da Santa Cruz dos Militares, and Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé.
