A walk through centuries of history in Requena

We'll begin our tour in Albornoz Square , the heart of La Villa , where the medieval essence can still be felt among cobbled streets and stately homes. From there, we'll embark on a journey into the past , traversing the eras that have shaped the city's character: from its Iberian and Roman origins, through the Arab Rakkana , the Christian Middle Ages with a visit from El Cid Campeador himself, the monumental Renaissance , the centuries of silk splendor , and the great wine-making boom of the 19th century that still endures.
