Tour description
Discover the marvels of Downtown Los Angeles with a free 1.5-hour walking tour, led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Learn about the fascinating culture and history that makes Los Angeles such a favored travel destination. The tour begins at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, where we talk about the hall's creation and it's distinctive architecture. From there, we walk past and talk about some of the free art museums nearby. Next, it's a trip through Bunker Hill where we talk about the history of this famous neighborhood. A ride on the historical Angel's Flight Railway takes us from the top of Bunker Hill down to Grand Central Market, where guests have a chance to sample the local cuisine (at their own expense) and use restrooms. Then we head through the Broadway Theater District past famous movie theaters to the Bradbury Building. Guests tour the inside of the Bradbury Building and learn about its role in film and pop culture. The last leg of the tour takes us through the Civic Center and City Hall, where we talk about the history of Los Angeles. The tour ends at Olvera Plaza, the birthplace of Los Angeles, where we see some of the oldest churches and buildings still standing in the city. From here, guests can catch a subway train from nearby Union Station back to the Walt Disney Concert Hall where we started.
