Hi, I'm Norman. After three and a half years of traveling the world, visiting more than 110 countries, and experiencing countless GuruWalk tours in the craziest places on earth, I have made Leiden my chosen home. Here, you quickly realize why the city is also called "Amsterdam without the crowds." I will show it to you as I discovered it myself: beautiful canals and buildings, hidden courtyards, and the exciting history of Leiden. Of course, the culinary delights will not be neglected either.

Leiden produced Rembrandt, hosted the Pilgrim Fathers before they even boarded the Mayflower, and survived a siege, the end of which is still celebrated every year on October 3rd with herring and white bread.

The tour is free, and as usual with GuruWalk, a tip is welcome.

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and €50 per participant.
