A night walk through downtown Toronto's public art, the pieces that were built to be seen after dark, the ones you've walked past a hundred times without noticing, and a few stories that once made front-page news. Free, roughly 2 hours.

Toronto's public art doesn't clock out when the sun goes down. Some of it was built specifically for the dark: sculptures that catch streetlight differently than sunlight, a beacon that's been quietly broadcasting the next day's weather for over 70 years, and at least one piece hidden behind glass that most people walk past every single day without knowing it's there.

This free tour walk takes you through some of downtown's most iconic public spaces and into a few corners even longtime Torontonians have never noticed. Along the way you'll hear about a sculpture so controversial it may have cost a mayor his re-election, a 22-tonne artwork shipped across the ocean in pieces, and a wall made of over a million hand-made ceramic fragments that looks like a simple black circle from a distance and something else entirely up close.
