Start your Vespa tour from Florence with check-in at our office at 9:30 AM, where our team will complete the pre-departure procedures and verify the documents required for the experience. At 10:00 AM, board the minivan and leave Florence behind as you travel toward the heart of the Chianti countryside.
The transfer takes approximately 40 minutes. Along the way, your guide will introduce the day’s itinerary and share interesting stories about Tuscany’s history, culture, landscapes, and wine traditions. Relax and enjoy the changing scenery as the city gives way to rolling hills covered with vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, and traditional Tuscan farmhouses.
Unlike many Vespa tours from Florence that explore only the nearby hills, this experience takes you deeper into the Chianti region, close to San Gimignano, one of Tuscany’s most famous medieval hill towns. Here, quieter country roads and authentic rural landscapes create the perfect setting for a memorable Vespa adventure.
Arrive at our headquarters in Chianti at around 10:40 AM and meet your local tour leader. Before departure, you will receive a safety briefing and complete a mandatory driving test to make sure you are confident and able to operate the Vespa safely.
Once ready, hop on your 50cc Vespa and follow your tour leader along scenic country roads through the rolling hills of Tuscany. Ride past vineyards where some of the region’s most famous wines are produced, ancient olive groves, cypress-lined roads, and charming rural houses. Several stops are planned along the route, giving you plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy panoramic views.
During the ride, admire the skylines of beautiful medieval villages, including the unmistakable towers of San Gimignano, while your local guide shares stories, legends, and insights about the area.
Your next stop is a local winery in the Chianti countryside. Meet the owners, discover their property, and learn more about local wine production and Tuscan traditions. Then sit down for an authentic Tuscan lunch, accompanied by a tasting of local wines and extra virgin olive oil.
After lunch, get back on your Vespa and enjoy the final part of the scenic ride. Travel through peaceful countryside surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, rolling hills, and traditional farmhouses, fully experiencing the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of rural Tuscany.
Return in the afternoon for the final vehicle check, then board the minivan for your journey back to Florence, with arrival scheduled for approximately 5:00 PM. End the day with unforgettable memories, beautiful photos, and an authentic taste of Tuscany.

Know before you go
- Drivers need a licence valid in Italy and a credit card for deposit (Visa/Mastercard only; no debit). Minimum age: 18 for drivers, 15 for passengers.
- Previous scooter-riding experience is mandatory. A test drive is required before departure. Anyone unable to ride safely may ride as a passenger with their partner or cannot join.
- Rain policy: tours run whenever safe. Light rain does not stop the tour. In heavy rain, the group may stop and wait; if needed, Vespas return with the tour leader and the tour continues by minivan. Persistent heavy rain before departure means the tour runs by minivan. Bring a raincoat and spare clothes.
- The tour lasts 4 hours. Allow 1–1.5 hours before departure for check-in, test drive, damage check and contract signing, plus 30 minutes after: approx. 6 hours total.
