On this 3.5-hour small-group walking tour, a local guide leads you from the bustling squares of Baixa into Mouraria, one of only two Lisbon neighborhoods to survive the 1755 earthquake.
Your first stop is a classic tavern where the chorizo arrives in flames. From there, you’ll sample Mozambican flavors at a kitchen that has been part of Lisbon’s food story for decades. Next, you’ll settle in for hearty seafood and a salted codfish dish at a traditional Fado House, and finish with a warm pastel de nata, all paired with Portuguese wine, beer or soft drinks. Between tastings, you’ll stroll past Mouraria’s street art, including murals of the residents who still call these lanes home.
With 12 guests at most, there’s room for questions, detours and an unhurried seat at every table, with the equivalent of a full meal.

- Bring a bottle of water – we do have drinks stops throughout the tour, walking can be thirsty work.
- Children under 4 years old do not need a ticket and can join the tour for free. However, food is not included.
- Come hungry. You’ll be tasting lots of food!
