Since 2018, this is Portugal's only Pastel de Nata cooking class in a real bakery, taught by a professional pastry chef!
This masterclass can be hosted by award-winning chef João Batalha, co-founder of Pastel de Nata concept store Nat'elier, or other experienced in-house pastry chefs such as Silvia Sousa, Adriano Cardoso or Sergio Garcia.
The workshop starts with an introduction to the history of Pastel de Nata. After you've geared up, you'll go inside a pro kitchen where you will learn how to bake the irresistible Portuguese Custard Tarts (aka Egg Tarts) that everybody loves.
Afterward, we will make the custard and bake it all inside a professional oven. During this class we all work together as a team (max. 12 participants). Everyone will get to make at least 3 tarts by hand - learn how to laminate the dough, spread it with a specific Pastel de Nata technique, fill in the custard, etc. It'll be delicious!
We'll end tasting the warm tarts with a drink of choice, crafted by our baristas.
