Join us for a laid-back and meaningful day in the Douro Valley, one of Portugal’s most beautiful wine regions. The Journey: We start the day in Porto and head toward the Douro in a comfortable Mercedes van, following scenic roads that slowly reveal the valley’s dramatic views. Along the way, we’ll stop at a quiet viewpoint, the kind of place you wouldn’t normally find on your own, perfect for photos and simply taking it all in.
Wine, Stories & Local Life: Our first visit is to a historic winery, where wine is still made with care and tradition. Here, we take our time. You’ll learn about the Douro’s unique landscape, grape varieties, and winemaking process while enjoying a relaxed tasting of several wines. No rush, no pressure, just good conversation and great wine.
A Private Group Boat Ride on the River: Next, we slow things down even more with a private group one-hour boat cruise on the Douro River, exclusively for our group. With a drink and some regional snacks in hand, we glide past terraced vineyards and quiet riverbanks, one of the most peaceful and memorable moments of the day.
A Long, Family-Style Lunch: After the cruise, we visit a small, family-run winery for a traditional Portuguese lunch. Everything is homemade and served with the family’s own wines, shared around the table in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This is not a restaurant experience, it’s a chance to feel truly invited into local life.
