We'll meet in Sant'Ambrogio, a district in the center of Florence, which will give you a taste for local lifestyle and culture. Not only is it a hub for Florentine life, but it is foodie central. I"ll take you to tour the local farmer's market and see the most amazing, vibrant, seasonal produce, and meet the vendors.
Learn about the seasonality of the freshest veggies/fruits like zucchini, tomatoes, stone fruits, citrus, and aromatic herb pairings. Then we will explore the inside of the market with the local butchers, cheese and salumi purveyors. Try some local artisanal salumi and cheese before moving on to the bakery which makes biscotti you'll be dreaming about even after you return home, as well as the very best Tuscan bread you'll ever have.
After we'll head to my place, a typical Florentine apartment in Sant'Ambrogio, to make our fresh pasta lunch while hearing the local hustle and bustle of the neighborhood while you cook for the most authentic experience. Get a genuine taste that is off the beaten path and not the typical fresh pasta experience.
We'll have a half way spritz/prosecco snack break to not get hangry while we cook, and after we are done making our pasta we will sit down to enjoy your fresh pasta with wine.
Menu varies by season, and we will create the menu together after touring the market.
We will make: 2 fresh pastas 2 sauces Tiramisu for dessert
My pasta making classes are 4 max and are perfect for those seeking a smaller group dynamic. My cute fluffy shih tzu named Layla is the Director of Hospitality and present for the class
