Tuscan Treasures: Siena, Chianti & San Gimignano

Experience the heart of Tuscany on this full-day small-group tour from Florence, combining history, culture, and the region’s world-famous flavors. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned Mercedes vehicle with an English-speaking driver and tour leader, who will guide you between destinations and provide insights along the journey.

After meeting your tour leader, depart for Siena, a medieval city famed for its architecture and history. Upon arrival, you will have approximately 2 hours of free time to explore independently. Stroll through winding streets, admire the exterior of Siena Cathedral, or walk around Piazza del Campo, the city’s iconic shell-shaped square. Climb Torre del Mangia if you wish to enjoy panoramic views over the city and surrounding hills (entrance fees not included).

After exploring Siena, continue through the rolling hills of Chianti to Poggio ai Laghi Winery, where a 2-hour lunch and wine tasting awaits. Sample a variety of regional wines, including Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Riserva, Super Tuscan IGT, and sparkling wines, paired with a traditional Tuscan menu featuring cured meats, pecorino cheese, bruschetta, lasagna with Tuscan meat ragù, and cantuccini with Vin Santo for dessert. Finally, return to Florence in the late afternoon, bringing with you memories of stunning landscapes, medieval architecture, and authentic Tuscan cuisine.
