Purple Basque Tours besteht aus Johann und Susanne, die sich vor vier Jahren in Bilbao kennengelernt haben. Unsere Liebe zu dieser Stadt und insbesondere zum Guggenheim-Museum hat uns dazu bewogen, diese alternativen Touren zu entwickeln. Wir halten die Touren für maximal 8 Personen, denn wir möchten, dass Sie und wir – vor allem – Spaß haben und das Beste daraus machen! Wir leben in Bilbao und lieben es! Deshalb ist es unsere Leidenschaft, Touren für Menschen aus aller Welt anzubieten, die die Stadt auf nicht-touristische Weise erkunden möchten! We had a great tour with Suzanne! She shared lots of interesting and helpful information about Bilbao, really bringing the city to life. I was not informed that the trip had been cancelled until after I reached out to the guide to see where they were. I received numerous confirmations from the GuruWalk platform about my trip but in the end was ghosted by the guide.
I suspect she is too modest to admit it, but Suzanne is an excellent guide and the tour was really interesting. I have done a LOT of so-called "free tours" over the years and this was one of the best - packed full of information, varied and interesting information, all told in an engaging and easy to follow way. The groups are small - very small in my case - and that makes for a much more intimate atmosphere, ability to ask questions, the feeling that you are being shown around by a friend not an impersonal guide following a script to 20-30 people, like some tours can be. Suzanne clearly has a passion for the subject and does it for the love, she ran over time but was not bothered and did not want to shorten the tour, she just enjoyed telling stories and showing people the city she lives in.
