Purple Basque Tours is the label I gave to my alternative tours since I came to Bilbao and fell in love with the city and the Guggenheim Museum (especially).
My name is Sanna Weaver, not from Bilbao originally, but a true blue local, something you'll experience in my tours, which are very alternative, original, purple (the favourite colour of sensitive, free spirit people ) and most enjoyable. Because of my love for Bilbao, I try to keep the tours up to 8 people as I want you to have fun and take the most out of it!
That's why offering tours to people from all over the world who are open to explore the city in a non tourist way, is my passion!
I would love to show you "my" city the way "I see it" and introduce you to the Basque culture and history.

Definitely a tour worth doing and a guru willing to take the extra mile. Suzanna (Sanna) is clearly passionate about her city and has all the skills and will to pass her passion to guests. We saw so much and learned about every aspect of the city but also the basque culture. Definitely a huge thanks!
Unfortunately I couldn't join this tour, as it was cancelled at the meeting point. The other participant didn't have cash with them, so the guide decided to cancel. We were planned to only be 2.
Tour nei dintorni del Guggenheim. Piacevole passeggiata di circa 2h e 30 Min, che si concentra soprattutto sugli aspetti architettonici, artistici e storici della città. La guida è stata molto gentile e ci ha permesso di partecipare al tour anche se eravamo solo in due. Consigliato!
Sanna haben wir direkt am Treffpunkt erkannt. Mit ihrer lila Baskenmütze war sie wirklich nicht zu übersehen. Unerwartet hatten wir an diesem Tag sogar das Glück, eine private Führung zu bekommen. Sanna hat sich rund 2,5 Stunden Zeit genommen und uns sehr engagiert durch Bilbao geführt. Dabei ist sie immer wieder auf unsere Fragen und Interessen eingegangen und hat die Tour flexibel an unsere Wünsche angepasst. Besonders schön fand ich, dass sie nicht einfach nur Fakten heruntererzählt hat, sondern auch viele Geschichten über die Stadt, das Leben in Bilbao und die Kultur im Baskenland eingebracht hat. Dadurch wurde die Tour sehr lebendig und auch für unseren Sohn interessant. Wir haben Orte gesehen, an denen wir alleine wahrscheinlich einfach vorbeigelaufen wären. Gleichzeitig hat sie uns viele Tipps gegeben, was man in Bilbao noch entdecken kann. Fazit: Eine sehr persönliche, sympathische und informative Stadtführung. Wer Bilbao besucht, ist bei Sanna definitiv in guten Händen.
