Would highly recommend doing the tour with Viktor if you fit into one or more of the following categories: 1) you want a tour within the first day or two of getting to Dubrovnik that will give you a solid overview of the layout, history, and attractions the city has to offer 2) you are interested in history but are new to visiting this part of the world and want to learn more about Croatian (specifically Dubrovnik and Dalmatia) history 3) you like someone who will give you a no-BS description of the city with some personal stories to connect to the points he is making 4) you aren’t just in Dubrovnik because you like Game of Thrones. (Nothing wrong with the show, of course, but this tour is not about that part of the city’s history.) Overall, we found Viktor’s tour informative and engaging. We did this our first day visiting and recommend doing the same (rather than doing the tour at the end of your visit). We felt this tour gave us strong foundational knowledge of the city for the next 3 days of our visit. My boyfriend especially had several questions going in, and he felt all of them were answered by the end of the tour.
Viktor provided us with a well balanced and informative tour. He is passionate about both local and national history and demonstrates a wider understanding of current affairs and the history of other countries. He weaves both humour and social observations into his presentations. He would be great on your pub quiz team. I loved it and would highly recommend.
2 hours of very interesting, passionate history stories - very insightful. A great start to our 4 days in Dubrovnik.
Viktor was a brilliant guide, he was explored many different aspects of history in a very engaging tour. He’s very friendly and happy to answer any questions, we had a wonderful time!
Great walk and history tour of the old town. Highly recommend
