Oaxaca by locals - Stadtführer in Oaxaca

Fantastic tour of the murals and lively conversation with our guide. A lot was learned in the 2 hour tour, from Mexican customs and culture, to underground resistance groups throughout Oaxaca's history. I would happily take it again. My only recommendation would to make it an afternoon tour. We were shooting into the sun, not the best angle to capture this great art work.

I joined a walking tour in Oaxaca and every minute was really enjoyable. Noel is a super knowledgeable guide who makes history feel like story time (the fun kind!😉). He sprinkled in cool facts, great stories, and awesome local recommendations. The Zapotec calendar reading was such a fun surprise at the end. I would absolutely recommend! Cheers😊

GuruWalk was a great idea and we got luck enough to have Braulio, a native Oaxacan, guiding the tour! It was a really nice to be immersed in the culture while walking through the street of Oaxaca and getting to appreciate the art, the architecture, and the wonderful spirit of the people. I would recommend this walking tour at the beginning of your visit, so you can get acquainted with the land!

It started raining so we actually finished the tour a little early. This was my second time on the same tour, (yes I enjoyed the first one so much that I came back a few months later to do it again with friends) but the guide was different and the group was much larger. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't be as good the second time around, but Maria was amazing and told us sfabulous stories about the artists and the subjects of. their artwork. She is very well informed about the background to the Mexican art scene, as she is a graduate in Art History from the celebrated Palacio de Bellas Artes in CDMX. I was VERY impressed with the extent of her knowledge, her ability to communicate ideas and somehow keep such a large group hanging on to her every word. Super tour - don't miss it.
