Cristina is very passionate guide. She generously, with light and clear way shared the stories that a magical place of Sintra cares throughout the historical timeline and her personal ones - from childhood, teens, etc. it was a breath taking, ground touching time with Cristina!

The most amazing tour ever! It was the first tour in Sintra for my guide Cristina, so we both didn’t know what to expect. She spent a lot of her childhood there, so I could hear all the stories from how Sintra was before it was a tourist attraction. I love that there wasn’t much history, she just mentioned a few things that were important for Sintra, but didn’t give me another history lesson, as lot of guides do that. It was interesting to hear how much it costs to buy a house there and what people are buying them, as she has connections with the locals. As other people didn’t show up, I had a private tour, we even went to a cafe and had Sintra’s traditional treat queijada. I remember how she told me stories about exploring Sintra in her childhood with sparks in her eyes, I could imagine it as in a movie. She is also like a local, it’s nice that she knows so many people, goes to talk to them and you really get to see Portugese culture, hear and see how the locals live. The tour was around 2,5h, took me to the most important places, but also explained what to explore by myself after, what is and what is not worth a visit, where to eat and so on. She is also a tour guide in Lisbon, but unfortunately I had already attended a tour there, but I would have loved her as my tour guide anywhere because she was so lovely. If you are like me (and her) and are not a history freak, make sure to attend this tour, let’s help her grow as a tour guide in Sintra , because she really deserves it!
