Paul was great! So knowledgeable and friendly
After reading the reviews and seeing the ratings I had high expectations of this tour. Unfortunately, it ended up being my least favourite walking tour out of the ones I’ve taken. Firstly, I have no idea why the Catacombs were mentioned in the title - all we did was pass by the church they are u see and the guide said a sentence about them. I find that very misleading. The big issue is that the information provided was very surface level. I like walking tours that give me a perspective about the culture of a city and why a city is the way it is. Instead, the information was more about pointing out what we were seeing - at one point the guide discussed the sides shown on a fast food menu (I know what fries are) and let us know that skylights let light into a building. As well, the type of info was all over the place - building architecture, food, statues (without much history)…. I’m not sure exactly what he was trying to let us know about the city. I don’t feel I learned anything about the city and wish I had just stuck with Wikipedia, which would have been a better use of my time
Paul gave a great tour of the city with lots of information and history about the place. The catacombs ended up being optional at the end and we were the only ones who took it up and, again, Paul gave a great and entertaining tour of this part.
