A guided walk you would not be able to do by yourself. As a tourist in Kampala, it is good to have a well English speaking local with you. Fatima is well educated and has a lot of knowledge about Uganda in general and Kampala in particular.
The tour was really interesting because it showed us the real daily life in the markets and downtown Kampala. Sarah, our guide, was amazing, showing us even the most secret corners and describing them. She took care of us and let us sample some very local street food specialities, like the Rolex. She explained everything with incredible joy and dedication.
I took a tour with Fridaus, the loveliest and most welcoming guide. I was hoping for someone who could show me around the markets and tell me more about the city. Fridaus did an amazing job, shared her deep knowledge about history and culture, and where to find the best snacks.
