Take the tour and see the details of the old town of Baku

Emin was nice and friendly, but lacked enthusiasm. What he told us sounded like a pre-learned script that he just wanted to get over with. No fun in his demeanor, just dry basic facts and dates, told in a way that is ultra hard to follow. We decided to leave the tour after the second stop and did something else instead.

My words here are from a good heart and to help Emin improve: • Emin has great knowledge but he needs to talk more about history, culture and less about commercial stores or how we should buy tea, Baklava, and etc.. We didn’t learn much about the beautiful history of Azerbaijan unfortunately. • Emin arrived late to the tour after everyone else. Although he apologized and we sincerely accepted his apology but still it wasn’t very professional. • 30% of his English wasn’t clear to me as an American due to his very thick accent, articulation and poor pronunciation (Maybe it’s not his fault because English isn’t his 1st language, I don’t know) but still he needs to work on his English more and practice when to pause and when to talk. Since he is a tourist guide. And finally, it will be great if he shows some interest in what he says, engage more with guests, and sounds more enthusiastic. Nevertheless, wish Emin the best of luck in his career, he has great potentials that need to get unlocked!
