I did a free walking tour with Reta and it was a wonderful day. Reta took a lot of his time for me (we ended up spending 6 hours together instead of just 3) and he showed me the most important and amazing places in his beautiful city. I was alone on the tour and it was my birthday that day. In between, we went to a restaurant for lunch and he surprised me by ordering me a cake with a birthday candle and asking the waitresses in the restaurant to play Happy Birthday loudly over the stereo. I enjoyed the day so much that I went on another tour with him, where we visited other neighbourhoods and even went to a concert of traditional Ethiopian music in the evening. Reta is a great guide and I recommend everyone who comes to Addis to do at least one tour with him.
