Hallo Leute!
Excellent tourguide, really friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Leon and Nicaragua as a whole.
I travel a lot (Nicaragua is the 86th country I visited) and I have done over 50 free walking tours all over the world but Alejandro was one of the best guides I have ever met. His English was native fluent with minimal accent, easy to understand. He was very knowledgeable (not only local knowledge, he had a good global insight) , the information he provided was precise and unbiased, which in my opinion is the most important for a walking tour guide. (I just did a walking tour in San Salvador and he described his president as a super hero without any flaws, I found it misleading and inappropriate). He had great attitude (cheerful, curious- he asked me a lot of questions about Hong Kong as he knew HK is my home country). I like it how he planned his tour-- starting with some relatively boring history, in the middle of the tour, we went to a local market for some sampling, and every snack/ food/ drink he showed us was tasty, the duration of the tour was also perfect, we got a bathroom break at a nice hotel in our second last stop. He even sent us a list of book and documentary recommendations, on top of the standard food and nightlife recommendations which I commonly receive after a walking tour. alejandro, thank you so much for your tour, I have learnt a lot from you. You are probably the best if not the second best walking tour guide in Leon.
This is a fantastic tour. Alejandro's knowledge of Leon and almost any other topic is extensive and presented in both and interesting and friendly way. Definitely recommend it.
I’ve done a lot of Guruwalks tours in many different places and I am generally quite happy with the quality of the tours, but Alejandro’s tour in León is definitely up there on my top 5. He is super passionate about the León and Nicaraguan history, his level of English is exceptional and his style was educative and entertaining at the same time. I loved how he always made references to historic events or figures from the countries of the participants to help us relate to what he was explaining about Nicaragua. León/ Nicaragua has an intense history, so lots of food for thought, so best to explore the city with a guide like Alejandro. After the tour he also provided us with written information on restaurants and worthwhile documentaries.
