I enjoyed the walking tour and it was a good history lesson. It is very obvious that Matthew is a history teacher and that he loves his profession. He is very knowledgeable and good as telling stories. Personally I would have liked to walk a bit more and see more places, but if you are interested in history than this tour is definitely a good choice!
We had an absolutely fantastic tour of the Buda side of Budapest and the Castle District with Matthew. As a history professor, he brought the city’s past to life in such an engaging and enthusiastic way. You can really tell that he loves what he does, and his passion made the whole experience unforgettable. Matthew shared so many interesting fun facts, personal family stories, and historical details that made the tour feel both informative and personal. He also included a quiz, which kept the whole group engaged and made the experience even more fun. He took us to some surprising and unexpected places around the Castle District and also showed us other things we could do in the area after the tour. I honestly wish I had had a history professor like him when I was in school! This was one of the best tours we have ever had, and we will definitely recommend it to all our friends and family in Portugal who visit Budapest.
