I was born in Hungary. I got my degree in Hungarian Culture and History. I studied in Canada and in the UK. I have taught Hungarian History in International Schools.
My passions lie in music, teaching and football.

Matthew is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable, very entertaining and very likeable. We've given him 5 stars, but in truth, he deserves far more. We've been on half a dozen Budapest walking tours in recent years and Matthew's was the best. He obviously enjoys his job, and his degree in Hungarian history shines though. The icing on the Dobos cake were his light-hearted history quizzes: get one right and you win a kiddy's bar of chocolate (but maybe I'm biased: I won a bar!). At the end of the tour, Matthew gave us an invaluable list of cafes, restaurants and sites to visit. We've already decided to return to Budapest next year, and look forward to meeting Matthew a second time. He's a great guy!!
Mathew did a wonderful tour imparting interesting insights and facts. The walking pace was good however the tour does include a few flights of stairs. Overall, the tour was excellent.
