I was born in Hungary. I got my degree in Hungarian Culture and History. I studied in Canada and in the UK. I have taught Hungarian History in International Schools.
My passions lie in music, teaching and football.

Matthew was a great guide, knowledgeable and quirkily entertaining He provided some very interesting tidbits that one would probably never thought to imagine. This is my first time booking a GuruWalk and I enjoyed it tremendously. I'd recommend going with Matthew if you are really interested in history of Hungary and love movies! He has some much information about the various movies derive from Hungary and/or history of Hungary...you'd be amazed.
We had a fantastic walking tour on Buda’s side with Matthew. He was incredibly enthusiastic and engaging, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. As a history teacher, he brought a lot of knowledge and context to the stories he shared, which really helped bring Budapest’s history to life. You could tell he was passionate about the city and its past, and that energy made the tour both informative and fun. We learned a lot and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budapest.
