Thank you, Fatih, for an all-round wonderful tour! It's my second time in Istanbul and I wanted to see and experience something that's not just about the traditional main highlights of the old city and Fatih delivered. It was a mixture of indoor and outdoor stops and short walks and the 2+ hours just flew by. Highly recommended!
I'm always interested in Islamic art, culture and religious practices. This tour serves as a great bridge to get to know a bit more of them. Our guide Fatih is experienced and knowledgable, taking us through some interesting and lesser visited places by tourists.

This is a great tour if you want to learn more about the Muslim faith and history. Fatih our guide was really great and brought his faith to life. We visited places I would never have known about on my own. I am very glad I got to see this side of Istanbul. Highly recommend it.
We as a group of 4 friends had an amazing (almost private) tour with Fatih. He feeded us with a lot of information, answered pur (many) questions with a lot of patience and put us in contact with super warm and open places and people (for instance the islam education center or the volunteers center of the mosc)! The tour somehow ended up as a foodtour which was a unexpected add-on. I would of course suggest you to do a tour with fatih and hope to see him again in this lovely city of istanbul!

I loved the interaction with the woman and the insight into the Koran and Islamic faith. I was taken into private spaces that I would not have experienced. Fatif took the time answer our questions and gave us some beautiful insights.

My favourite tour I’ve done in my time in Istanbul. Was great to experience the Turkish culture/lifestyle- as other tours focus on locations whilst this does both. My guide Fatih was excellent- both friendly and knowledgeable.

Do the big stuff-- Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc.--then take this tour for a deeply felt realisation of the spirit of Islam on the individual human scale. Picked up lots of information while being welcomed into the "backroom" activities and support of mosque communities. Highly recommended.
This is such an underrated tour - you go to many spots / learn many things about Istanbul that you otherwise probably wouldn’t!!

Es una experiencia muy especial porque nos permitió aprender mucho sobre la religión islámica, las costumbres locales y la espiritualidad de los turcos. SPANISH Nuestro guía, Fatih, nos acercó a una forma de sentir y de vivir que difícilmente puede encontrarse en las guías de viaje o en los tours tradicionales, donde normalmente se habla únicamente de historia y monumentos. Gracias a él, pudimos descubrir una dimensión mucho más auténtica y humana de la cultura turca. Además, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a gente local en centros de enseñanza, donde fuimos recibidos con los brazos abiertos. Cuando se viaja como turista no suele haber muchas ocasiones para relacionarse con los turcos de una manera tan cercana, y este tour es una forma ideal de hacerlo. It was a truly special experience because it allowed us to learn a great deal about Islam, local customs, and the spiritual side of Turkish culture. Our guide, Fatih, introduced us to a way of thinking and living that you simply cannot find in guidebooks or on traditional tours, where the focus is usually limited to history and monuments. Thanks to him, we were able to discover a much more authentic and human side of Turkish culture. We also had the opportunity to meet local people in educational centers, where we were welcomed with open arms. When visiting as a tourist, there are usually very few opportunities to connect with Turkish people on such a personal level, and this tour is the perfect way to do so. We were even invited to a wedding, which was an unforgettable experience. We would recommend Fatih to all our family and friends. He is a cultured, intelligent man with a big heart. If this is your first time in a Muslim majority country Fatih’s tour provides a great introduction to the religion and the culture. He provides context for Islam, the Ottoman Empire, and what it’s like to a been a practicing Muslim in Turkey. I learned a lot and left with a much better understanding of how spirituality plays a part in every day life in Istanbul. Thanks!!
Fatih schowed us places that you usually wouldn‘t see. It‘s not the typical free walking tour to cover the top5 places. It goes deeper into the culture and the understanding of Islam. We even talked to locals, went to a cultural exchange center and met an professional calligrapher. Really interesting for everyone who wants to get a deeper understanding of the city and culture. We can recommend it!
It was way above expectations. Fatih was very kind in all explanations and extremely respectful of everyone’s belief and way of living. As a non Muslim, having this kind of exposure to the culture and religion is the best way to open your mind and better understand other people. Thank you again Fatih, best of luck to you!
I can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s a very different perspective of Istanbul than the standard walking tours and I saw places and talked to people I wouldn’t have otherwise come into contact with. Fatih is a great guide and had a lot of interesting information to share with us. If you’re in Istanbul and want to experience a unique walking tour this is the perfect choice!
This felt like a very special tour. Thanks to Fatih, I got a taste of the spiritual aspect of the city, in practice, not just in theory. I won't spoil any more but I can only recommend :)
