Free walking tours Geschichte in Medellín

This tour gave an insight into the conflicts that happened all over Colombia, with a special focus on Medellin. The tour guide showed us some interesting spots, that I would've walked past if it wasn't for the tour.

Federico è stata una guida eccezionale, è stato interessante capire gli eventi di quegli anni con le sue conoscenze storiche e i suoi racconti personali. Un tour che cerca di mostrare la storia senza spettacolarizzarla e coinvolgendo le persone!

Daniel’s tour is an absolute must-do. He shares a deeply moving personal account of the Colombian conflict, blending his own experiences with the diverse perspectives surrounding the war and its ongoing impact today. It was incredibly inspiring to learn how local communities confront trauma and how the country is actively working toward historical healing and restorative justice. A truly touching, eye-opening experience that gives you a profound understanding of Colombia. Thank you, Daniel!

We spent three weeks in Bogotá and Medellín combined, and this was the best experience to understand the cultural and social transformation of Colombia and specifically of Medellín in recent decades. Some Communa 13 tours show the beautiful, but flashier and more commercial, side of that story. This tour, under Sebastian's guidance, gives you the context, history, and complexity behind it all. This is a unique and essential offering among all the tours in Medellín, and I highly recommend it.

Alex unpacked the complex history associated with the narcotic scene seen in Medellin. It was informative and extremely interesting to listen to these stories and to hear about some of the positive outcomes whilst being to understand the complexity of the issues. A very worthwhile experience.
