Excellent tour for history and culture. Carmen gave us a good background as she led us on the tour. She was courteous and professional and asked each group member what they hoped to get out of the tour, if they had any special needs, and if there was anything in particular that we wanted to see. She encouraged questions all along and had us guess answers to some questions which made it fun. Although it was a very hot day, she accommodated the group's request for shade as much as possible. Great jin, Carmen.

Carmen was a fantastic guide. Her English is excellent and she switches effortlessly to Spanish, so everyone in the group felt included. What really stood out was how interesting her commentary was she shares real knowledge about the history and culture of Puerto Rico, not just the standard talking points. Warm, professional and genuinely passionate about her island. Highly recommended!

Charlene gave a thorough overview of old San Juan in an entertaining and engaging way…since it was just me on the tour, we had a one-on-one conversation about the beautiful places we were walking past; she graciously answered the questions I had and looked up in real time anything she wasn’t sure about. This tour has been the highlight of my stay in Puerto Rico.

She arrived on time. It has started raining prior to her getting there. She provided umbrellas for the tour. Very knowledgeable, told us all the stories of Old San Juan. It was an easy walk, tour lasted just over 2 hours. She said they keep tours to a small group to provide better service. Would definitely recommend her!

I had such an amazing experience on this walking tour in San Juan! From start to finish, it completely exceeded my expectations. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging—bringing the history of the city to life with stories and insights you’d never get exploring on your own. We covered all the highlights, from colorful colonial streets to hidden gems I would have totally missed otherwise. The pacing was perfect, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take photos, and really soak in the atmosphere. What I appreciated most was how authentic and personal the experience felt. It didn’t feel like a scripted tour—it felt like discovering the city with a local friend who genuinely loves what they do. If you’re visiting San Juan, I 100% recommend this tour. It’s the perfect introduction to the city and easily one of the best walking tour I’ve had!

I have used free walking tours before – they help give me the lay of the land and help me decide where I might want to head back to… this tour did just that. Charlene was patient from the start when we had a little bit of trouble finding the meeting point after leaving the cruise ship so we were about eight minutes late. She was quite knowledgeable about the history and the route we were on and afterwards provided recommendations for places to eat and also photos that she took both of us and of some of the old San Juan sites we might want to have.
