The tour was so much better than expected! First off, Uncle J was kind enough to still give the tour even though it was only two of us. He knows SO MUCH and provided us with so much information! We went to a couple of castles and walked through the Main Street of Old SJ, all while he gave us history insights and recommendations of where to eat and visit. The tour was about 3.5 hrs and very thorough! If you’re in town, highly recommend!!

It was raining at the start of the tour but Uncle J did the tour anyway. He is knowledgeable and communicates in a relatable way. The route he takes is stunning. My favorite was spending time in the castle (40 minutes). If for no other reason- take the tour just to meet this wonderful tour guide!

Uncle J is certainly a unique guy! Excellent tour, super nice guy. We learned a lot. Be prepared for a lot of walking, but that is the point! No hesitation in booking.

Frank told us upfront he doesn't follow a script as he casters each tour to the individual participants' interests.

El guia nos esperó para empezar el tour porque llegamos atrasadas por 10 minutos pero nos comunicamos con el y fuè muy gentil al esperarnos. Luego empezamos con la historia desde el Punto de encuentro y por casi tres horas nos transmitió su conocimiento. Muy profesional. Mi calificación para este tour es 10/10

Jonny is an absolute character, he was a wealth of knowledge and it was presented in an interesting and informative style. I can't recommend this tour with Jonny as the guide highly enough, you'll have a blast.

That Jonathan was in colonial costume was a clear sign that the tour was going to be special. I like history and on this aspect, Jonathan did not disappoint. He spoke about the history of Puerto Rico and how this shaped the construction and preservation of the old city. He answered our questions and is the best photographer there is. I’d definitely recommend Jonathan.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jonathan! We were the only participants for the tour and he took the time to give us a personalized and engaging tour of the sights. He explained the history of the fortifications in detail and left time for breaks and a few minutes on our own in each place which we appreciated. Jonathan even treated us to a snack of local coconut at the farmers market. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Jonathan’s tour to anyone interested in the history of San Juan, the fortresses, and much more from a knowledgeable local.

Our tour with Jonathan was amazing! He was dressed in a historically accurate military uniform the whole time (despite the heat and humidity), he was full of fun facts, and he clearly loves what he does. He went out of his way to make the tour memorable and informative. He also took plenty of photos of me and my friend, which we really appreciated.

Johnathan, is an expert in history, he cover the history of importance of Puerto Rico and the castles in detail. He was also hilarious, I would do it again and recommend it to all looking for a walking tour in San Juan.
