The tour with Sam was good, but in the end a little too long, and we were walking quite slowly. But a walking tour is always the best way to learn about a new city! Thank you Sam!

Sam was an excellent guide, and I highly recommend this tour! It is long, but definitely worth it; I learned so much, and I’m glad I did it on my first day in Samarkand. It was the perfect way to learn the history and do some sight seeing at the same time.

Our guide Samandar was exquisite. If I could suggest any improvement, it would be to stop shorter on the first stop.

We really enjoyed Faoyziddins tour. It was informative but not boring and very thoughtful of everybodys needs and possibilities. We got to see the most interesting places and got tips for the coming day's visits.

Really nice tour with lots of information about the buildings. We really enjoyed the tour. Always got around 10-15 minutes to see the builidings on our own and take pictures. Would recommend the tour to people who are interested in history.

We had the tour with Parvina, she was very knowledgeable. The tour was originally 3.5 hours and lasted 4hrs, Parvina spent time explaining the history at each site and it didn't feel rushed which was really good. I highly recommend this tour with Parvina

I had a wonderful free walking tour of Samarkand today with our guide, Samandar. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting details about the city’s history, culture, and sights. He took his time, never rushed us, and explained everything in detail while happily answering all our questions. You could really tell how much he enjoys sharing his knowledge and showing visitors his city. A great experience and definitely recommended if you’re visiting Samarkand! :-)

Samandar gave us a lot of information about every site and answered all the questions that raised during the visit. He also gave some recommendations for food, shopping, and other places to visit that were not included in the walking tour because they are farther away. I really appreciated his patience and good humor.

We had a good time on the tour with Sam. He was friendly, professional and clearly knew a lot about the city and its history. We got some interesting insights and saw several places we probably wouldn't have found on our own. A few things could be improved: the tour could be a bit more interactive and engaging, and some explanations felt repetitive. It was also a little difficult to spot Sam at the meeting point (bring umbrella perhaps) and first stop took quite a while before we headed off to the remaining sights. Unfortunately, we were told that the light show at the Registan would kick off at 8 PM. It didn't start until 9 PM which the guide should have known. Overall, a good tour and a nice way to get to know the city.

Truly great tour! We covered the most touristic spots of the city with a deep dive into their history. The guide is a teacher and it shows, he has a great way of explaining. He is also very careful to the need of the specific group and adapts to them. He leaves some free time to explore so the tour is not overwhelming or tiring. He also gives great tips to enjoy the city after the tour.
