Free walking tours Erfahrungen in Tokio

Really enjoyed the chopstick making class, but the studio was confused about our booking through GuruWalk and simply charged us their full regular fee (2000 yen per person) at the end. Still worth it, but not what I was expecting.

It’s not a walking tour but it was fun to pick out the wood and carve my own chopsticks. Great souvenir from Japan. You can get the chopsticks personalized for a small fee. Highly recommended giving this a try!

It is not a "free guided tour" in the sense that you pay what you want. The prizes are preset. It was a little stressful, because we did not have that much time to make the chopsticks, and if you wanted them engraved, you had to be quite fast. I managed though in the end, and I am very happy for my selfmade, engraved chopsticks. Though a bit stressful in the beginning - it was a fun and practical experience.

This workshop was so much fun, picked out the type of wood and also requested engraving for extra charge at the end. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend! My chopsticks with my name engraved in Japanese is my favourite souvenir ☺️

I would suggest anyone going to Tokyo to ditch more expensive Chopstick experiences and just say yes to Ginza Chopsticks!
