Our guide was warm, knowledgeable, and had a real gift for making everyone feel at ease from the start. The food stops were incredible, genuinely some of the best bites we've had in the city, and each location came with great stories and context that made everything click. Nothing felt rushed. There was always room to ask questions, chat with the group, and just soak it all in. Highly recommend, and we'd jump at the chance to do another tour with this guide.

What an amazing tour! Most tours are around gentrified touristy areas. It took a 30 minute Uber to get to Mixcoac but was 100% worth it to experience an authentic local neighborhood. You know how when you travel there’s restaurants, taco stalls, and fruiterias you want to try, but you really don’t know what to order or figure out which one is good. This taco tour takes you to every single one of those places so you can experience Mexico City like a local. Ian was an incredibly nice and knowledgeable guide.

We did the Free Taco Tour with Carlos through the Historic Center and honestly it was one of the best food experiences we've had in the city. Carlos really knows the history behind every taco (the origins of al pastor, cochinita from Yucatán, chorizo from Toluca) and he tells it all with so much passion — it doesn't feel like a tourist fact dump, it feels like living culture. The route is put together really well too: actual local taquerías, not some tourist trap setup, and the pace is chill so you can actually enjoy every stop without rushing. You can just tell he loves what he does and knows the Centro better than almost anyone. 100% recommend if you want to eat your way through the city and actually get it, like a local would.

I was skeptical of this tour and it proved me wrong. It was my first food walking tour and this proved me wrong. Our guide Elizabeth was a joy and we appreciate the history of the food and the neighborhood and the tacos were our of this world. The tour was during dinner time, so timing was perfect. Highly recommend it.
