Makoto was AMAZING. He was definitely the best part of our time in Kyoto. He told a lot of information about the city and the japanese cultural without sounding like a lesson! Funny, kind and super smart. I recommend everyone doing this tour! :)

Makoto was so good! He was well informed about the area, and showed us a number of places in Kyoto. He included the history of the places and fun facts. I thought he was well spoken and very considerate of the group, checking in with us to see if we were enjoying the tour and if there was anything we wanted to further discuss. He even has pictures and maps he made himself that helped to convey a better understanding of the area. It really helped us to put some substance behind our trip to Kyoto and made us appreciate the city even more. Thank you so much for this experience, I would rebook in an instant.

Excellent visit with Makoto. He is very knowledgeable and shares information in a professional manner. Given the small size of our group (6 people), we were able to ask lots of questions, particularly about the geikos and the maikos. Our visit took place on a hot and humid day, but Makoto made sure we had shade whenever we stopped. I highly recommend!
