We really enjoyed our walk around the fort with Malik. Most of the time it felt like we were just having a stroll with a friend. He's really knowledgeable about everything inside the fort & we learned far more than we would have if we just walked around by ourselves. Malik gave an excellent tour of Galle Fort. He is very knowledgeable about the city's history (and Sri Lankan history generally) and is very friendly. I highly recommend taking his tour! You will learn a lot!

Malik was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge of the history of Galle pointing out the various features including the turtles & parrot fish in the sea. We were enjoying the tour so much that I was annoyed with myself that we had to leave the group early due to the heat (33degrees) so wear a hat and take water.

Malik was the perfect guide! A good mix of historical facts & dates, and cultural insights. Great English. Super knowledgeable about everything. It was definitely the best start of our Galle stay, as after this, we could understand the layout of the city better, as well as the rich past of the town and the country.
