Free walking tours in Funchal

Having spent four days in Madeira, we learned so much in just 2 hours with Guru walks! Lovely way to get a feel of the city.

Very informative tour of Funchal with Thomas. He was eager to answer our questions above is presentation. Would have like to start with an overview of the story of the island to understand better but I’m a bit passionate!

Our door with Eduardo was interesting and informative with the right level of humour thrown in. It was a relaxed 2.5 hours covering 3km taking in some of the main landmarks of Funchal. The information pdf that he gave us at the end is very helpful

Mia was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting to her and finding out about her story as to how she ended up in Madeira. She was very informative and the route was varied, showing us all areas of Funchal. She pointed out places of interest, which we then went back to after the tour to explore on our own. We were lucky to be in a small group, too, which made it very personal. A great start to our week in the area. We loved the cookies she gave us and went and bought more as gifts to take back home. Excellent tour and excellent guide

Gabriel was wonderful! He shared interesting history about Funchal, took us to beautiful sites and even treated us to a surprise at the end. He answered our many questions and even shared information in multiple languages to ensure everyone on the tour understood. His time and effort was much appreciated and I would highly recommend you taking his tour!

I got a single tour as the group had cancelled. It was good to have the time to walk around and ask question and he was attentive.

Just do it. Pedro, Marco and Rosa spare no effort to integrate everyone who is participating in the Tour. Unlike other pub crawls I've participated in, in this one everyone interacts and you have an amazing night! They keep small groups precisely to maintain this proximity and interaction with everyone! I highly recommend it!

Was looking forward to this tour and it didn't disappoint. Eduardo was enthusiastic and passionate about everything he was showing us and telling us and about Madeira generally. He was also fun and showed us all the main attractions in Funchal. We had thought 2.5 hours may have been too long but we didn't notice the time as it passed quickly with all that we did. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Eduardo.

Although let down by other walkers not attending Gabriel did a wonderful walk with our group of 4 and was very informative and entertaining.
