I am an university student in South Korea, and I live in Seoul. I love to travel around the world, and when I go to a new city, I really enjoy its food, shopping, drinks, and to have a local experience. Sometime it is too hard to find local tips on what to do, however I get help from walking tours, and that is why I decided to do this walking tour and show how beautiful Seoul is and to tell you its history. I’m Jieun, your guide and new Korean friend!
I live and work in Seoul, and I’m basically obsessed with this country—the food, the culture, the history… and yes, even the drinks! 🍻😆 Oh, and don’t worry, I’m a certified tour guide, so you’re in good hands (or at least, in fun hands)!
So, why am I doing this? Well, when I was a student, I traveled around Europe and joined a walking tour in Belgium. It wasn’t just another boring history lecture—it was fun, personal, and full of cool local stories. And I thought, "Wait… Korea is just as awesome! We need more tours like this!"
So here I am! My goal? To make sure you experience Korea the way locals do—with good food, hidden gems, and some unforgettable moments.

Jieun was an excellent, entertaining and informative guide. She was very polite, helpful and spoke very good English.
I had a great tour guided by Jieun. Her command of English is excellent (she has an English degree), and she is cheerful and responsive to my questions. She brought us to many interesting spots and gave insightful comments that enabled me to understand Korea better. I would definitely recommend this tour for visitors to Seoul.
We had a fantastic tour with Jieun and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Seoul. The tour had a nice balance of history, local culture and recommended spots for food, shopping etc. We felt we could ask any questions and Jieun was great at explaining information. There was only two of us on the tour that day and she kindly still did the tour, so lucky for us it was like a private tour! As one of the first tours on Guru Walks this would be the one to pick to get a real local perspective on life and history in Seoul!
