I highly recommend taking a guided tour when visiting Lima’s city center. It’s safer, the guide knows the best spots to visit, and it’s the best way to learn about the city’s history and landmarks. We were lucky to have a private tour with just the two of us, which made it even more enjoyable and interesting. The tour lasted around 2 hours and 30 minutes, and afterward we took an Uber back to Miraflores. Honestly, the city center didn’t feel very safe for just wandering around, so having a guide made all the difference.
Cristian was so sweet and knowledgeable! He tells you the story of each place and gives you quick breaks to take pictures and explore on your own. Loved the tour!
