Ciao! Mi chiamo Şahika. Sono originaria di Istanbul (odio İstanbulite) e ho trascorso diversi anni vivendo in altre città diverse e frenetiche, tra cui Houston, Boston e Londra. Penso di poterti dare una prospettiva unica di Istanbul confrontandola con altre metropoli e, in definitiva, mostrandoti come non sia come nessun'altra città al mondo. If you're in Istanbul and want to discover Karaköy beyond the touristy spots, this tour is a total gem. You get to wander through all the small side streets, hidden corners, and surprising details you’d never find on your own, unless you had a local friend showing you around. And that's exactly what it felt like. Our guide Ungan grew up in this city and shared stories that gave the neighborhood real depth – a mix of history, politics, subculture, and fun facts that made every stop feel meaningful (and often hilarious). We had such a good time and left with a whole new appreciation for the area. Highly recommend if you want something off the beaten path.
