Hi! My name is Şahika. A native Istanbul-er (I hate İstanbulite) I spent several years living in other diverse and fast-paced cities including Houston, Boston and London. I think I can give you a unique perspective of Istanbul comparing it to other metropolis and ultimately showcase how it is like no other city in the world.
I am an avid traveler myself and I deeply treasure the spontaneous connections created on the road; purely out of shared curiosity and an unspoken agreement to share a moment together. I will be striving to create this convivial atmosphere on my own tours.
It was a very nice tour, I loved her style and the presentations, the information she provided was very useful, and she was open about sensitive topics too, which is great. Highly recommend her tour to everybody.
A great nighttime tour of the Galata area of Istanbul. We went behind the main streets to discover a labyrinth of bars, restaurants and nightlife we would not have found otherwise. Sahika told use about the history of the as well as day to day life, the culture and politics of the modern day Istanbul dwellers. We didn’t make it to Taksim Square but I would have happily listened to more. A very interesting tour - would recommend!
