L'Associazione per il Turismo Alternativo, fondata da appassionati nel 2015, ha iniziato organizzando centinaia di "Tour Gratuiti" ad Arad e si è poi estesa a Timișoara, accogliendo migliaia di turisti, soprattutto durante l'anno in cui è stata Capitale Europea della Cultura. Oltre ai tour gratuiti, l'associazione sviluppa con entusiasmo tour tematici e "a porte chiuse" volti ad aiutare i residenti di entrambe le città a comprendere meglio il loro patrimonio. Inoltre, svolge un ruolo chiave nell'innalzamento degli standard del turismo rumeno formando e certificando guide turistiche nazionali all'avanguardia.
I joined the Timisoara guided tour at 6 pm and the atmosphere was perfect. The city was very calm and pleasant to walk through. Alex is a very good speaker who explains the historical facts of the city very clearly while walking through the streets. He is also very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this tour to discover the city center of Timisoara. See you next time, Manuele

Alex’s tour of Timisoara was informative, engaging and entertaining. I learned so much about my hometown, and it was really fun too!
