Ciao! Sono Ono, nata in Giappone ma cresciuta in Cina, e sono tornata in Giappone all'inizio dei miei 17 anni. Ho appena terminato la mia laurea triennale a marzo e da allora mi sono tuffata nel mondo della moda, con l'obiettivo di lanciare un giorno il mio marchio indipendente. Attualmente vivo a Osaka, anche se quasi tutti i fine settimana mi troverete a scappare a Kyoto in cerca di nuove ispirazioni. Really enjoyed the tour by Ono who was able to give us detailed explanation of the history of the culture and religion. Without his explanation I would never have known the difference between Maiko and Geiko, the significance of signs seen in Pontocho, or the difference between a temple and a shrine. After the tour he even sent us a list of restaurants we can consider in Kyoto and Osaka.

While photos were not the main focus of the experience, what truly made this tour unforgettable was Makoto himself. His personality is incredibly adorable, gentle, and extremely polite — one of the most respectful and kind people we have ever met. Makoto is also very wise and knowledgeable, and the way he shared stories and insights about geishas was fascinating and meaningful. We were incredibly lucky to actually see geishas during the tour, which made the experience feel even more magical and unique. His calm presence, beautiful manners, and warm energy created an atmosphere that felt peaceful, authentic, and truly Japanese. More than a tour, it felt like sharing a special moment with someone who genuinely loves his culture and enjoys sharing it with others. We highly recommend Makoto — not only for his knowledge, but for the beautiful human connection he offers. This experience will stay in our hearts forever 🌸💫
