Hi! I’m Ono, born in Japan but raised in China, back to Japan in my early 17.
Just finished my bachelor’s degree this March and have since dived into fashion design, aiming one day to launch my own independent label. Currently based in Osaka, though most weekends you’ll find me slipping away to Kyoto for fresh inspiration.
Life has carried me through Kanagawa, Oita, the Seto Inland Sea, Hangzhou, and Shanghai—each place tinting my creative palette. I love trading stories with new friends, so feel free to share yours🌻

Ono was a fantastic guide! We ended up getting a private tour that lasted 3 hours. Ono was so knowledgeable and kind. He checked in with us regularly for questions. The pacing was well done and we got to see some very beautiful places. When done, Ono sent us a detailed list of tips and recommendations for activities and places to eat!

Passionate about Kyoto and things Japanese. Super generous in sharing tips for good eats, cultural activities etc. Unlike other Guruwalk guides, Ono cares to find out about each of his walking group in order to tailor his sharing. He did not simply throw facts at us. He worked hard to help us understand the traditions and history of the area, using anecdotes, quizzes, humor. I consider him as the epitome of a great walking guide. I hope his customers appreciate him and reward him fairly.
