I had the pleasure to walk around with Roy Li last night and it was my first ever visit to Beijing. Roy took the time to explain the history buildings and also everything around the old part of Beijing. The group was quite small which made it even better to have a conversation and exchange ideas and point of views from different tourists that have been in Beijing for different length of time. Roy made sure that we all were involved and to also drop really interesting information here and there that wasn’t related to only the history. I really appreciated Roy trying to relate his stories to our own countries background and sparking that conversation that definitely pushed the tour and made it feel a lot more personal and tailored to the group. I would thoroughly recommend going with Roy and if I had a chance, I would definitely do it again.

I had an excellent experience with Roy Li as my guide in Beijing. He is not only very knowledgeable about Chinese history and culture but also has the rare ability to explain it in a way that feels clear and engaging for international visitors. As a European traveler, I particularly appreciated his excellent English and his openness in discussing cultural differences. He doesn’t just give you the facts—he puts them into context so you can truly understand how traditions, history, and modern life connect in China. If you want a deeper understanding of Beijing beyond the landmarks, I highly recommend joining a tour with Roy. He makes the city come alive and creates a bridge between cultures.
