Chrisa was an outstanding guide to the Civil War both its national context and specifically in Barcelona.She was very knowledgeable and presented a huge amount of information clearly logically and accessibly. For people who know not a lot or even quite a bit about the history of Spain she is the guide for you. In addition her explanation of the progression into Franco's dictatorship and how this all affects what's happening in Spain today was great. Her previous work helping uncover the history of the war and post war period informs her tour - this is not just looking at buildings, this tour concerns lived history and experience of trauma by a society and individuals. Compelling.

Extemelly well documented, yet accesible, by a professional archeologist-historian with a solid and rate direct personal contribution in the fiield. All in all, on top of a rare inquiry about Barcellona, its shadows and its resisting uniqueness over the past nearly 100 years, a must for every citizen-visitor who aspires to go beyond the touristic beaten track, so as to experience democracy's fragilities and price to pay when brjng interpelled to defend it, past and present contunious.

Evan was a fabulous guide for the civil war tour. It was extremely knowledgeable, very informative and interesting. I learnt a great deal about a subject which I thought I understood.
