Hans gave one of the most memorable experiences Iβve had in Yangshuo. The tour felt incredibly personalized rather than scripted, and you could immediately tell how passionate he is about both the city and the people visiting it. Heβs extremely knowledgeable about the local food, culture, and hidden spots around town, but what really stood out was how easy he is to talk to. It felt more like exploring the city with a friend than being on a traditional tour. ππ₯ Hans genuinely loves meeting new people from around the world, and that energy makes the entire experience welcoming and fun from start to finish. He took the time to answer questions, share local stories, and make sure everyone was having a great time. The food selections were fantastic and gave a much more authentic experience than I would have found on my own. If youβre visiting Yangshuo and want a relaxed, engaging, and truly local experience, I highly recommend Hansβ walking food tour. It ended up being one of the highlights of my trip to Guilin/Yangshuo. -Austin from USA
Hans is an excellent guide, knowledgeable and was a pleasure to spend time with
We wandered through a vibrant local market that was absolutely bursting with character. We feasted on succulent vegetable stews and sizzling spicy beef, washing it all down with the locals' favorite rice wineβaffectionately known as "happy water." It was pure bliss! Hans even took me out for a bowl of luosifen (snail rice noodles), which instantly became the standout dish of my entire month in China. We soaked up the local vibe in a neighborhood, watching lively dances and joining in on friendly chats. Hans filled me in on all sorts of local customs and traditions, giving me a taste of life that you just can't find in any guidebook. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience that I'd recommend to anyone!
Hans led a fantastic tour. He is a chef and a local, so he knows where to get all the good food for a good price. You know it's gonna be good street food when they have been there for years or decades. Also, he knows a lot of the vendors, which makes it all the more of a welcoming, local, authentic experience. I wish I had more time in Yangshuo to do his cooking class, which you can find on Trip Advisor. Highly recommended if you are in Yangshuo.
