Free Walking Tours Guadalajara, Mexico

Our guide was very friendly and really tried his best to explain the rich history of Guadalajara. He knew a lot of facts about each stop and he had a book with him to show historical pictures. However, he had a difficult time to make a story out of this information. At times, it felt like he was dropping all the facts, which made it difficult to pay attention. So I would advise our guide to take a moment to write out what he wants to say about each building. Focus on creating a clear narrative. And maybe even drop information if it feels like it doesn't fit in with the rest (for example: many places had a lot of 'legends' tied to it. Instead of telling all of them separately, focus on the most interesting legend and dive deeper into that one). Also, try to link the different buildings together. Maybe create a chronological story about Guadalajara's history (start it's foundations and end with the more contemporary buildings). I get that this can't be done easily, but we feel like there is a lot of improvement possible! Anyway, thanks for the tour. You were a friendly guide!

Super friendly. He was there before the start time, let us try fresh tortillas and native fruits and gave us a lot of recommendations for lunch! He knows his city

Great place to start if 1st time to Guadalajara. He was very informative with history as well as having us try some of the local fruits & tortillas. We saw things I’m sure we wouldn’t have seen on our own. Also gave us a long detailed list of things to do as well as Mariachi info! Highly recommend!

Santiago was an excellenet guide and went above and beyond, getting us access to some private spaces and adding free tastings of delcious, fresh fruit from a street vendor and warm, fresh tortillas right off the line at a tortilleria! The 2.5 hours was packed with interesting history, fun stories, unexpected sights and tastes, and he shared with all of us on the tour an amazing list he has carefully curated of things to eat, see and do for the rest of our time in GDL. I followed the list and had some of the best food and shopping on my own the following day and I hope to check them all off the list eventually. I have recommended this tour to all my colleagues here in GDL without hesitation. Thank you Santiago!

Tour guide was excellent, but the tour was book as gastronomical and historical. Unfortunately our tour ran way overtime partly due to a stranger joining in and speaking Spanish to the Guide on an English tour . He dominated our time I felt .maybe the guide could have detoured this interloper. The locations visited and information was excellent.over all
