Essential Free walking tours of Riga

The tour was a great introduction to Riga and Latvian history. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We have done 3 other Baltic tours but this one has been the best. Tom’s was highly knowledgeable about the history and culture but he was always respectful and gave a very balanced viewpoints towards the difficult eras. He was humorous but also passionate about his ten and country. Wonderful

It was a very large tour group and so it was split in two. That was a good idea. I had the joy of having Daniel as our tour leader. He was excellent. He told some lovely stories and brought a smile to our faces as well as informing us. What was particularly good was the fact that he didn't overload us with information, but cherry-picked what he thought would provide a good balance between information and enjoyment. He got it absolutely right. Thanks very much Daniel.

Daniel is a young and professional guide who took us on the free walking tour of Riga. He was very knowledgeable and was able to show as much as possible in our evening tour. I was astonished and in awe of the various styles of design and architecture of the buildings and churches from different eras. Enjoyed the tour very much.

Really informative with great local knowledge. Extremely witty and very easy to listen to. Gave us a great idea of what Riga was about and how difficult the Latvian people have had it over the years. Great ambassador for her country.

Despite the non-stop rain throughout the entire two-hour tour, our guide (I think his name was Daniel or Andrea) made it a truly memorable experience around the old town of Riga. He didn’t let the weather dampen the mood—he kept the walk engaging, showed us all the key sights, and even found sheltered spots where we could stand and listen comfortably. His knowledge and adaptability made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Riga!

Excellent introduction to Riga.

An entertaining and informative group tour, well managed in spite of the size. Mareks was a good tour guide and showed us many interesting sights. A few said he spoke fast but it was ok with me.

Gaspārs is a local who loves his city. He has a lot of knowledge on history, architecture and fun facts. He is fun and entertaining.

Our great guide made this really enjoyable and educational, even our kids enjoyed it
