To support the places we love and which we felt needed our help before they were swallowed up and changed forever. With an extensive connections to associations, organizations, local business’, artists, crews, collectives etc it is our aim to give you unique experiences and superb value for your time and money. We have an in-depth and personal understanding of the places, people and Berlin´s art scenes, offering our tours to individuals, companies, students and special interest groups on a daily basis for the past 12 years. We are also proud to be a sponsor of various projects, events and initiatives in the local community. No guide books or anyone for that matter can take you as close to the action as we can. Our free tours give budget travellers a great opportunity to experience Berlin´s alternative/ underground subcultures while paying what you can afford if you feel your guide deserves it.

Tours are different each time but a usual 3 hr tour looks like this:

Artist squats and multi cultural neighborhoods

Street art, graffiti , mural art

Cultural icons including The Bethanien house & YAAM beach

One of Europe´s largest indoor skateparks & alternative entertainment facilities in a bombed out train depot

Urban art projects, urban farms & autonomous initiatives

Daytime raves, flea markets (summer) and bizarre shops

All the stories & legends of the neighbourhoods, nightlife tips, local recommendations and much much more…

Alternative Berlin tour guides have a wealth of information to share with you about what´s happening here and now and the best ways to spend your time in this awesome city. We´ll visit some of Berlin’s most famous neighbourhoods and meet various artists and local people. We support creative arts and the protection of Berlin lifestyle and culture. Good behaviour is a must on these tours.

Due to the nature of this tour we like to keep groups as small as possible. Groups of 10 or more people should contact us before joining. This tour is ideally suited to individual travellers or small groups.

The tour is not suited for school groups for that we have private offers and Private tours can be arranged for larger groups.
