I 've traveled to more than 125 countries, worked in Kenya, Ghana, China, Mexico, and served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Poland. Most recently, I traveled to Outer Mongolia and rode horseback to the Siberian border to meet the Tsasat people, keepers of wild reindeer. I moved to San Miguel de Allende 8 years ago and live here full time. I am a former teacher, pilot, and businesswoman, I saw a need to help the children of San Miguel have more educational opportunities. By presenting "San Miguel's Secrets Revealed", a series of 6 virtual tours about the history, culture, architecture of this UNESCO city and by giving history walking tours, I have met many others who also want to support San Miguel's children.
This tour will encompass 500 years of history, visiting beautiful churches, fountains, statues, parks, markets, a convent, a former widows' home, the Canal family mansion.
There will be tips on current events, where to dine, shop, see movies/plays, and places to visit near San Miguel!
The tour is led by one of San Miguel's most popular and experienced tour leaders and historians, the Presenter of "San Miguel's Secrets Revealed". Her stories, anecdotes, and personal knowledge of San Miguel's history makes this tour entertaining, informative, and an overall fun experience!

Meeting Place is the round Gazebo in the Jardin Allende, opposite the Parroquia. Kathleen wears a Mexican dress and a name tag.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
