I am a tour guide with approximately 6 years of experience. I came to Norway for love of a person and I ended up falling in love with its nature, culture and of course the people. I want to show you its tourist attractions, tell you about its history and culture, but above all, give you the best advice to enjoy your days in the Nordic capital. I enjoy passing on my knowledge to other people so that they can make the most of their vacations and have an unforgettable experience. I love traveling and learning about different cultures. I have been working as a local guide for 2 years in Norway, doing free tours around the tourist center of the city. I invite you to participate in this experience to discover Oslo as a unique and impressive city and it doesn't always have to be so expensive.

Tour description

Attention walkers!!!!

For the 10:45 and 13:45 schedules, the tour will start at the National Theatre and end at the Opera. The places to visit will be: National Theatre, Oslo City Hall, Akershus Fortress, Christiania Torv, The Opera, and the Oslo Tiger. !!!!!

In this free tour of contrasts, we will discover the many faces of Oslo. We will stroll through the bohemian neighborhood of Grünerløkka, explore the multicultural Grønland, and you will be amazed by the futuristic architecture of Bjørvika.

Itinerary

At the indicated time, we will meet at the BLÅ bar, the most iconic jazz and independent music club in the city, to begin our free tour of Oslo's contrasts.

First, we will explore the Grünerløkka neighborhood, the bohemian soul of the Norwegian capital. It was once a working-class neighborhood full of textile factories, and today it is Oslo's most alternative district. We will walk along the Akerselva riverbank while observing how the old industrial buildings have been transformed into art galleries, vintage shops, and markets.

Then, we will delve into Grønland, the multicultural heart, where the landscape will change completely. This neighborhood is one of the oldest areas of the city, from when Oslo was called Christiania. Today it is filled with spice markets, exotic fruits, and international shops that reflect Norway's most diverse side.

Next, we will cross the spectacular Akrobaten pedestrian bridge over the train tracks. In just a few steps, you will notice the contrast: we will move from a humble neighborhood to the most expensive and modern district of the city: Bjørvika.

In Bjørvika, we will admire the famous Barcode project, which consists of buildings that resemble barcodes, and the imposing MUNCH Museum, home to The Scream, one of the most iconic works of expressionist art. We will also stop in front of the famous Oslo Opera House, whose white marble structure emerges from the water like a true iceberg.

Finally, we will approach the Sørenga bay, where we will say goodbye after two hours of touring.

Attention Groups!
The tour is designed for small groups. Groups of 7 to 10 adults are asked for a contribution of 15 euros per person at the beginning of the tour, to ensure the guide receives a fair income for their work.

Payment can be made by card or cash in local currency and in euros.

We look forward to seeing you!
